Two tall glass containers

Melted beeswax is often used in cosmetic products such as makeup and lotion. Emulsifying melted beeswax helps thicken and blend the ingredients in such products. Beeswax doesn't emulsify by itself. Instead, it needs to be combined with water and other ingredients. The mixture is then heated until the desired consistency is reached. Typically, beeswax cosmetic products come from specialty companies or stores and can be quite expensive. Fortunately, with the proper supplies, you can emulsify beeswax with water at home.
Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil.

Fill a tall glass container with 25 grams of beeswax. Set the container in the pot carefully. Heat the beeswax to 70 degrees Celsius or until melted.
Pour 20 milliliters of water and 2 grams of borax into a tall glass container. Place the container into the pot with the beeswax. Heat the borax to 70 degrees Celsius or until dissolved.
Remove the beeswax and borax from the pot. Pour the beeswax into a large mixing bowl followed by the borax mixture. Whisk well for 10 minutes while the mixture cools.
Too much beeswax or too much borax can make the mixture too thick or gritty.
