Using toothpicks, you can put together a simple teepee diorama that can be decorated with some paint. This project works well for kids of all ages and can be completed in under an hour. Step 1
Hold two toothpicks together to make a 45 degree angle. Glue the toothpicks together with a dot of hot glue at the ends, so that about 1/4 inch of the end of each toothpick sticks out over the point where they meet.
Step 2
Glue the two toothpicks onto a square of cardboard so the toothpicks stick up in an upside-down "V" shape.
Step 3
Repeat step 1 so you have a second "V" shape made of two toothpicks, but cross and glue these two toothpicks about 1/16 inch higher than you did for the first two. Insert the piece over the first and glue in place, so you have a teepee frame made of four toothpicks.
Step 4
Lay a series of toothpicks around the perimeter of the frame, gluing each in place until you've filled in the frame, making a teepee.
Step 5
Spray the teepee with white spray paint and let dry.
Step 6
Paint the square of cardboard with green acrylic paint and a paint brush.
